What is a Remote Work Rockstar?
Working remotely may be short-term; it may be long-term. Virtual work, off-site engagement, and/or remote work, regardless of what it is called, is something most are experiencing, have experienced, and/or will experience. It appears the vast world of being virtual is growing, and we want you to shine on that remote stage!Since there are norms that develop in environments (in-person or otherwise), ensure your Virtual Work Etiquette is a Do and not a DON’T. Rockstars present professionally…whether with others in the same space or across miles or across the internet!
Not a lot that stands true in our more traditional work doesn’t apply to the virtual environment, and yet sharing some guidelines with some anecdotes and leadership ideas, too, may clear up the questions that may be on your mind.
While we may not see everyone a lot, or see them only as an image on a screen or screen name, each person deserves respect and consideration, so be engaged, stay active and energized, and join us on your journey to becoming a Remote Work Rockstar!
“What exactly is this “Reversing the Slobification of America!”? You ask?
As Americans have gotten caught up in the bigger, stronger, faster, better mentality, often such an overinflated image of our self-importance clouds our judgment, and therefore, our actions, and ultimately, our results.
Americans have sadly become slobs! Many of us are not strong communicators, behave rashly, and simply do not nurture and value relationships the way we could. Happily, the reversal of such thoughts, words, and actions is not as complex as it may seem like something we do one person at a time, one mindset at a time…all through effective communication, professional behaviors, and thriving relationships.
There is a spell-check for our documents and no auto-correct for our behaviors.
This book, Reversing the Slobification of America, is a compilation of Debbie Lundberg’s first three publications for someone in school, just starting in the workforce, an entrepreneur, or a seasoned business professional.
Ready to network?
Sometimes the idea of networking can be an "eye-roller" of sorts.
By keeping your eyes on the prize with this book of 101 do's and don'ts, you can embrace the fact that it is not about networking, rather going to the next level of engagement. And, in order to get to that engagement, it takes respect for self and others, intention on what will and won't happen when engaging in new connection time, and action in order to make change and make a difference in how a network can impact a person and how a person can grow a network.
You will get to gain insights into what to do before an event or opportunity, get implementable tactics and guidelines for at an event, and also learn super tips and actions to implement and take post networking event.
Networking is not an disposition or solely an event, it is an active engagement in growing through relationships and connections!
These guiding principles are for attaining desired results, responses, and ultimately, those precious relationships that make thw world, our world, go around!
It is often said, and believed, that "It's a man's world", and "Sex sells". These things certainly may be true in some cases, and these concepts need not be embraced, or even considered, in many cases.
This book provides ideas for navigating the mixed signals women get and give. The quick read provides 40 things to STOP doing, ideas for addressing CAUTION with confidence, and ways to GO for being the best feminine leader and/or mentor to women.
The three-step approach to each concept presented makes for both entertaining and applicable ideas that can enhance leadership, working relationships with females, and/or coaching approaches for women to succeed.
With quick assessments of what can highlight female characteristics rather than approaches to mask our gender differences, the leadership and the femininity highlighted in the pages of this book combine to serve in ways to empower and encourage.
